Real Tennis
The Oratory Sports Centre is home to one of only 27 real tennis courts in the UK. Real tennis is the original racquet sport from which the modern game of lawn tennis, or tennis, is descended.
The Oratory Real Tennis court was built in 1989 and over the last 20 years the School has developed a string of players who continue to compete in national and international competitions.
The Oratory Real Tennis Club under the guidance of professional Andy Chinneck has over 100 members. The school has hosted several tournaments including the World Championships in 2006.
The club is always looking to indroduce new people to the game so if you would like a free introductory lesson please contact the Real Tennis Professional, Andy on 01491 681303 or realtennis@oratory.co.uk.
